The addition of our wildlife carousel continues to bring joy to our community, especially our youngest visitors. In early 2012, we are erecting a pavilion to protect the beautiful animals on the carousel. The pavilion enables us to operate the carousel year-round and host public and private events. Proceeds from our events benefit our mission to provide educational programming to children of all ages in our community.
Our campaign goal is $180,000 and is launched though a generous gift by Eleanor Morad in memory of her son and former Buttonwood Park Zoological Society Board Member, Norman Albert Peloquin, Esq. Donors who would like to join us in Covering the Carousel are invited to purchase a nameplate that will be mounted on the inside walls of the carousel. Each time you visit the Zoo and ride the carousel, there will be an enduring reminder of your generosity and dedication to enhancing the message of nature, environment and conservation.
