Zoo Crew is a summer program designed especially for children ages 8-12.
Each session has been developed to have a balance of outdoor and classroom learning opportunities, educational games and activities, crafts, and fun! Each week-long program runs 9:00AM-3:00PM, Monday thru Friday.
Pricing
Zoo Members: $175 per week for one child. (Siblings are $150 each)*
Non-Members: $200 per week for one child. (Siblings are $175 each)*
A package deal is available for children who register for all three sessions:
$475/members; $550/non-members.
Week One:“Wildlife Protectors”What do elephants, eagles, terrapins and butterflies have in common? Through games, activities and exhibit visits, we’ll explore endangered animals and their habitats. Discover what zoos and families can do to help wildlife around the world.
Have you ever wondered how a zookeeper starts their day? Would you like to create an animal habitat like an exhibit designer? How about play the field as a wildlife biologist? Join us for this week of hands-on career exploration. Each day we’ll examine a different job from behind-the-scenes at the zoo!
Week Three: “The Watery World”Have you ever looked at a fish from the inside out? The fascinating adaptations of aquatic animals are found in many species from insects to fish to birds to mammals. Ever wonder why fish swim in schools? Play the shark and find out!
